What you can find at TG2K?

we’d like to get to know you better

We don’t wanna bombard you with what we assume you’re interested in. If “assumptions are the termites of relationships” as comedian Henry Winkler says, then we certainly don’t want any termites to infest our relationship with you.

So, in our effort to get to know what the student community is interested in, we had a chat with a few students from various campuses. Here’s what they had to say about the content they would like to see on this platform.

Nozipho Mashalaba

Name: Nozipho Mashalaba

Age: 30

Institute: South West Gauteng TVET College, Dobsonville Insitution

HR Management student

TG2K should have information like which doors can we knock at when we’re done with our N6 [qualification]. I’d like to see information on careers from private companies. It should also have people that’ll motivate us, like previous students who made it in life ba tswang ko TVETs to tell us that “now I’m an HR manager”, for example. Provide information on things like job shadowing so that we can experience what it’s like to do what we’re studying towards. The main one for me is to know which door to knock at.

I think it [would be great] if TG2K could focus on trying to write something that would comfort people who are struggling with mental health issues. As someone who loves to write, I would like to learn about opportunities that are there for young writers.
